These are just a few of the questions that someone might ask who is looking for the truth about God.  If you are one of those who are asking these questions, you are a seeker. You will receive an answer because Jesus said, "...those who seek will find."

If you are looking for the truth about God, then you have already taken the first step by acknowledging the possibility that God may exist.  What do you do next?  Here are a few practical helps for your spiritual journey:

  • Ask God to reveal Himself to you.

  • Read the Bible.  Don't try to read the entire book, but rather begin by reading a New Testament book, such as John, Acts, or Romans.

  • Talk to people who show a genuine relationship with God – those who obviously love Him and who live by a different set of principles.

  • Write down your questions and take them to a knowledgeable Christian who can help.

  • Question things that you may take for granted. Question your own assumptions about God, faith, and Jesus Christ.  Do not let them stand in the way of your search for truth.

As you search for the truth, consider the following:

God came to earth in human form in the person of Jesus Christ.  The Bible says in John chapter 16, verse 28, "I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father. "

God loves you.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him" (John 3:16,17). You can live forever!   Accept Jesus as your forgiver and your God.

"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise Him up at the last day"
(John 6:40)
